Mourinho wants Chelsea to drop Falcao chase and sign Lewandowski

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is pushing Chelsea to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski.

The London Evening Standard says Lewandowski could be one of the arrivals as Mourinho is looking at the Borussia Dortmund striker with doubts emerging over a deal for long-term target Radamel Falcao.

Chelsea have already been chasing talent whose combined worth is in excess of £100million, with Atletico Madrid striker Falcao, Bayer Leverkusen forward Andre Schurrle, Malaga midfielder Isco and Everton star Marouane Fellaini all targeted.

Mourinho will want to add some of his own names to that list and is already making a move for Lewandowski amid fears Falcao wants to stay in Madrid.

Poland international Lewandowski is expected to leave in the summer with Bayern Munich and Manchester United also interested. However, Mourinho hopes to convince him to move to Stamford Bridge and reports in Germany suggest he has already texted the player and his agent.
